Transferring in Service
Overview
You may be able to shorten your retirement horizon by transferring service from another pension plan into MEPP.

We wish to inform our members that the reciprocity agreement between MEPP and the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation, facilitating transfers between MEPP and the Saskatchewan Teachers Retirement Plan (STRP), will terminate on June 30, 2024. Please plan accordingly and contact us for further assistance on how this change might affect your retirement planning.

Requirements
Forms and Documentation
Contact us if you're interested in transferring service into MEPP.
If you wish to transfer in service from another pension plan, you will need to submit a completed Pension Portability Information Request to MEPP.
Processing Time
The transfer will be completed in approximately 30 days of receipt of MEPP, receiving your completed Pension Portability Information Request form and any required documents.
MEPP will send you a letter of confirmation once the transfer is finalized.
Fees
There are no fees for the first request. Subsequent requests may incur an administration fee.
